GeoCue True View 615 & 620 new sensors for LIDAR
True View sensors have been designed for use in small unmanned aerial systems (UAS). They are based on RIEGL's miniVUX-2UAV laser scanner integrated with two photogrammetric cameras. Position and orientation in True View 615 is determined by the Applanix APX-15 UAV GNSS module, while True View 620 is based on the more accurate Applanix APX-20 UAV. All True View 3D imaging systems are supplied with a software package: Applanix POSPac (raid reference data), True View EVO (post processing) and True View Reckon (data management).
The True View® 615/620 system generates colour 3D point clouds with high accuracy in a short time. With its wide 120° field of view, it allows even faster acquisition of analytical data for the creation of ground models, profiles, sections, volumes and more. The high accuracy makes it possible to scan overhead lines or penetrate vegetation. True View EVO software, which is supplied with the hardware, is a complete solution for creating final products from acquired point clouds.
The True View 615 weighs 3kg, while the True View 620 weighs 3.5kg. Both have a battery life of more than an hour. The range of the scanner is 100m for targets with a reflectivity of >20%. Accuracy is better than 3cm/2cm RMSE, while precision is 2.5cm/2cm at 1 σ.
